Polytechnic University student was seen kneeling in front of a female dormitory in for several hours.
The
man remained unidentified. Reports said he has been kneeling for hours and the
grand gesture was for the forgiveness of his girlfriend. He was captured
half-naked carrying a bundle of canes. His punishment includes spanks so he was
reportedly waiting for them to come.
Cause
of the rift is also undetermined. Netizens concluded that the man had done
something big that is really bad causing the execution of such act.
According
to Daily Mail UK, the peculiar act was inspired by an Chinese story of apology.
It was dated 283 BC and was documented in the biographies of Lian Po and Lin
Xiangru.
Lian
Po wanted to ask for forgiveness of a lowly servant Lin Xiangru for his
arrogance, having some branches attached to his back. Lian Po went to Lin
Xiangru to accept his beatings to show how truly apologetic he was.
